Far from Heaven.

Born in Malaysia, Hin Chua has moved to Australia and later to London where he currently lives and works. It is probably no coincidence that his shots have such a large breath to seem universal. His research entitled “After the Fall” seems to investigate the relationship between man and nature with grace and a poetic force that feeds on extremes. “In the origin stories of many cultures”, explains Chua on the edge of his work, “the first humans dwelt in an earthly paradise, at one with nature. After their subsequent expulsion, some believe that this Fall of Man transformed the very fabric of the natural world and the essence of our relationship with it”. Made in locations ranging from Jersey City to Riga and Shanghai this ongoing series is a fascinating meditation on this altered yet fundamental bond.
