CHRISTOPHER LAMARCA: “THE CONFRONTATIONAL LANDSCAPE”

Tomorrow in the battle think of me

Photography more than any other medium is an immediate and personal vision of reality, and thrives on experiences and on cultural and emotional baggage of the one who uses it to “watch” the world. In the lucid look of Christopher LaMarca, photographer and reporter from Portland, Oregon, you feel the full brunt of his training on Environmental Studies and Biology at the University of Oregon. Vivid shots of dramatic beauty that document the environmental issues and the major changes imposed by man upon the precious ecosystems of the whole planet. Shots gathered in publications of remarkable impact, even aesthetic, like the award-winning book “Forest Defenders”, that return old landscapes crushed and disrupted by this never ending war, but still persistent thanks to the few able to “see” only after having watched the world.
